but courtship is dating. At least imo. Dating I think ppl have put a stigma around it, meaning you're hooking up. but I view dating as, ok, were exclusive, not open to other ppl, we're putting all our efforts into getting to know this person with intentions of getting married if this person is the one. and you don't know if they're the one unless you "date" or how he phrased it, court.

Come 5th grade, my son came home and told me “Mama, I will always love you, that will never change, but one day, I’m going to marry she//00? I was like, ok. Does she know that? He said, she will know soon enough ♥️they went to a formal dance in 6th grade.. after that, they were inseparable. They dated all through middle school, high school, college and eventually got engaged during college, bought a home and married and have been married for 6 years now.
