I feel like she’s making chili by George on all recipes and saw that v8 juice is a good replacement for the tomato sauce. Not sure why she needed basil but maybe was making bruschetta cuz she already had tomatoes and mozzarella.

So it turns out that the accompaniment to chili is very regional. My family being from the south, cornbread has always been the go to item. But turns out, saltines are a thing (I think in like upper Midwest) and they would think cornbread is weird. I know 🤯
