Im muslim and my wife is christain she didn't want to change her religion for me neither did i want to change mine we got married and are happily married do not let people priest or imam or your family and friends stand in the way of happiness if the day comes that allah want's to punish me and my wife then ill take that punishment but love should never be about religion because at the end of the day it is a wov between God/Allah you and your spouse no one els.

shukran Sheikh for clearing that up alot of people does not understand the reason. A child is from the father and follows the father's leadership and ideology and religion hence why Muslim women are forbidden to marry non Muslims.
