@theiaoptical: Cataracts happen when the clear lens inside your eye becomes cloudy, making your vision blurry and dim. It’s a common part of aging but can also be caused by diabetes, eye trauma or overexposure to UV. The only way to treat cataracts is with surgery. During the procedure, the cloudy lens is removed and replace with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL).
