This poor woman had been beaten and injured and she couldn’t get any help? What is wrong with this society and system we have? Walking in the dark and alone, no one would help her. I thought the police are supposed to protect. I guess not.

I get both sides. Removing someone from a dangerous situation is part of the job, but on the other hand, police are not a taxi service.

Maddening beyond words! She was probably declining an ambulance because the hospital did nothing for her the first time. If they wanted to give her a ride, I’m sure they could have. I’m shaking I’m so mad! Poor woman. She had nothing and was exhausted and trying to get away!
