@shaylatalei: I’m still in recovery from sepsis, and these antibiotics are rough — they’ve made me so sick. Today was my first wound care appointment for the site where my port was removed, and I’m so sore. The wound is still open and packed so it can heal from the inside out, which means lots of follow-up visits. Right now, I have a PICC line in my arm for IV antibiotics, and once I finish this course, I’ll be getting a tunneled Hickman line in my chest. It’s considered a safer long-term option for running TPN (IV nutrition) since sepsis feeds off TPN and ports carry higher infection risks. It’s been a hard, exhausting few weeks, but I’m counting down the days — 26 to go — and holding onto the hope that this chapter is almost behind me. 🤍 #sepsis #picc #hospitalstay #tpn #fypツ
