To the friendslop people. Friendslop isn't a genre. It's a term used for games that have no merit or real/varied gameplay loop and as a result are only fun because you are playing them with friends. There are traits that make some similar to each other, proximity chat being a notable one, but they can be very different from one another. I wouldn't call among us, lethal company, or webfishing similar to each other in any way other than being friendslop because they don't have a real game behind of the interactions between players. This game looks like it has an actual game with objectives and mechanics so it wouldn't be considered friendslop. Multiplayer games and party games that are made with intention are not inherently friendslop because they're fun to play with friends.
