Underrated is an understatement. So good. So insightful. I imagine if he and Bruce did a collaboration when the boss was writing songs like on his first two albums. Also a Pennsylvania state historical marker commemorates the house in Lyndell where Jim Croce lived and wrote many of his famous songs, including "Operator," "Time in a Bottle," and "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown". The marker was formally installed on March 30, 2022, on Creek Road at Highspire Road. The marker honors the period between 1970 and 1972 when he and his wife, Ingrid, lived in the home during his rise to commercial succes.

You are absolutely right. He is one of the most underrated singer songwriter. His music is everywhere still, movie, soundtracks commercials, and definitely streaming in my office. I never miss an opportunity to introduce him to younger generations. I had his anthology songbook and that is primarily where I learn to play guitar growing up in the 60s and 70s. Thank you.
