@tmcvintage1: ✨ Monday Answer! ✨ Last week’s mystery item is an Antique Brass Candle Wick Trimmer with Stand. 🕯️✂️ These clever tools were an essential part of 18th and 19th century households. Before self-trimming wicks, candles needed their burnt ends snipped regularly to keep the flame bright and smoke-free. The little box on the scissor blades would neatly catch the charred wick so it wouldn’t fall on the table. The stand kept the trimmer handy beside the candlesticks—a true combination of function and elegance. Imagine the warm glow of candlelight, and someone carefully using this very tool to tend to the flame. A perfect example of how everyday objects were once made both practical and beautiful. #antiques #antiquecollectors #antiquedealer #antiquefinds #antiquetools
