We were at school. I was in Y10 and we'd got back from lunch break. We watched live on TV as the second plane crashed. Our parents picked us up early from school. People were convinced WW3 was coming the next day. It's crazy that it seemed so crazy now, looking back but it was truly unfathomable at the time

I don't think people that weren't born yet can understand the perspective change, realizing terrorist attacks can happen here all at once. I know it seems naive, but, pre-9/11 this stuff was genuinely unthinkable

I visited the memorial site as an adult and it was so emotional! I was in second grade when this happened and I remember all of the teachers watching the news and our parents being called to come pick us up. The whole day was on pause!

I’m sure everyone remembers exactly where they were when this happened. My daughter was a kinder in school. My husband, myself, and our 4 month old were home. Staring at the tv screen in disbelief!!! After I snapped out of it, I wanted to pull my kid out of school but it was already in lockdown. After that second plane hit we all knew this was no accident! So many people died tragically and so many families broken 😔💔

Remember watching this exact broadcast live. I was in 3rd grade and my school bus was running late that day so I was still at home with the tv on in the kitchen. I went and told my mom and she said “oh I’m sure it was an accident.” Then she went in there and they showed the replay and she thought the rapture was going to happen 🤣
