I think sometimes we have to realize we’re trying to shape into who WE want them to be, but it’s not who THEY desire to be. So because of your love for them, you have to let go of the relationship and the version of them you want them to be so badly so they can be their full self that is fully accepted by someone else.

i try to be patient since he grew up based off survival & he says it’s hard for him. He wasn’t shown love/affection, he’s gotten better within the 5 yrs but i hate feeling like there’s something missing.
