Please call the language Irish not Gaelic. Irish is a Gallic language. It’s like calling the French language Romance or English Germanic.

She’s referring to it as Gaelic because that’s what Americans often call it and she’s being polite and doesn’t want to confuse her audience which will likely be Americans.
