I personally do not recommend Dire Bound. The claim is turning pain into power, but the heroine is incredibly judgemental, angry, and creates 99% of her own problems from her unwillingness to communicate. This is presented as some kind of strength, so she doesn't grow beyond it at any time in the book. There are also numerous times where the heroine, confusingly, has this really weird and brief anger toward men for seemingly no reason.

I will soon be reading The Wolf King and Direblood after finishing Quicksilver. I'm also considering On Wings of Blood and The Ascended. What are your thoughts on Eyes of Devious Burgundy? Have you read Druid Cursed? That one might be worth a gander. So far, it's been an interesting romance novel that I didn't initially think I would like.

I feel like The Wolf King doesn't get the respect it deserves. I obsessed over it. A dainty girl who's happy being dainty and wearing dresses. you do fall in love with the first guy too and the slowwww burn ugh SO good.

Just finished Tongue so sweet and deadly. Didn't feel like ToG. I would say that the biggest vibes I got from Lady of Darkness and Winter Gods & serpents. But somehow nobody talks about it. Great trilogy. FMC is totally insane, and MMC is just amazing, best book boyfriend ❤
