I went through four rounds of interviews for a director level position. The final round was with the vice president. The recruiter told me that I interviewed well, but they decided to go with an internal candidate instead of me.

I've been unemployed for about a year and honestly it's amazing how the person interviewing me determines the vibe. Sometimes I legit blank and struggle to answer questions and other times the interview goes well and I feel confident. The more aligned I am to the role the better the interview goes!
