The king in yellow Arg (i just made this in noted btw)😭 DR3 passed through the village and reads a book with a 3-4 letter censor word which I believe is “son”. The thing following Dr3 Wasnt there to harm him. It was his father having gone insane with knowledge and followed Dr3 as if to warn him. Which is why a voice was audible once he stepped on the first black block. Avery was mention because Avery is related to dr3 Im some way. I am guessing a blood relative or He was known by the knowledge of seeing the king in yellow that Avery would be the next to stumble along the game files. The thing seen behind the golden gates want just the king in yellow. It was the perception of the author and by Dr3 seeing that he had gained the knowledge of who was before him and who came next. Which is why he sprinted back to the start. Knowing the path and writing the book to prevent same mistake his father made or not warning quick enough.

The whispers, footsteps, the lights breaking, and even his inventory changing was just him going mad from the yellow king because you don't need to see him to go mad. You can also go mad from being in his presence. In fact I believe he never actually went to all these places which explains why at the end he somehow makes his way back to the start to warn Avery. He was insane the entire time.

The term crossroads is associated with your past through its symbolic meaning of being at a point of decision, which forces you to re-evaluate your past choices, paths, and experiences. And der in german means the and lord is like king and yellow is the 3rd colour. so i think derlord3 is the king in yellow reflecting and looking back on his past actions and reremembering what hes done while being haunted and hunted by the spirits of his past actions.

I saw a comment on the video that said that d3lord3 not only noticed the grass block, but on the items too. you see d3lord3 changed his RENDER distance, never changed his simulation distance, which is what actually would've changed what chunks are loaded and which ones aren't, meaning whatever was following him, put items back thinking he wouldnt notice, so if you see it that way, the entity actually fell for both of his traps.
