The layoffs were a surprise. I have a family member that said she found out about the 30,000 from the news. The next day, employees got emails.

Its because of chip costs. Amazon shopping is not their main source of income. So you can stop shopping there and it doesnt matter as every large international company uses AWS

Dow Jones aka Wall Street Journal laid off over 2300+ jobs even though 2025 has been their best year based on their profit. Entire finance dept is being outsourced. End date is mid January only bcuz we have to train them 🤬. The job market is horrible n January is coming FAST. 😵
