Yes and no you can understand why someone does something and still hate them. Just because I can understand why someone hurt me doesn’t change the fact they hurt me and if they are not willing to change and continue those patterns I can absolutely hate them for that. When you are forced to be in a situation with someone that constantly threatens you there is no taking the emotional high road because you have to deal with them and see them. Despite the positivity of you should forgive and let go there is so much forgiveness for some people who only want to see you suffer.
