@the.word.addict: Anything, and I mean anything, can be made to be functional and even cute in your junk journal. This journal was made out of paper bags. This pocket was made out of cardboard and a teabag for a creative and unique closure for this #junkjournal . The only thing you really need when creating junk journal embellishments is your imagination. How do you feed your creative brain? My ideas come to me when I walk - i walk around the block, and my mind always wanders to my various projects. I dont force any thought, but I let the pieces come together in my head. Like a puzzle. It's important, at least for me, to have a little "no distraction" time to think things through. Then again, other times, I just wing it in the moment - to be quite honest - it's usually to fix something I did that I didn't like. This unique pocket idea came from one of those moments on another journal I was working on. Anyway, I love creating from junk around the house. This is a result that even the staunchest junk journal purist would approve of.
