Investigators say two vehicles — a black Impala and a silver Cruze — traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa, following the same route as Foolio’s group. Traffic cameras and hotel footage later showed the cars looping the area and watching nearby hotels before everything unfolded. Here is part 1 of the detective’s testimony where around 4:26 a.m., the victim’s three-car group pulled into the Homestead Suites. A few minutes later, a black Impala arrived, followed by a silver Cruze just after 4:36 a.m. Surveillance video shows the silver Cruze driving by twice, making a U-turn, and coming back — appearing to check the parking lot and line of sight toward the other cars.
