If you’re worried about a digital footprint impacting your chances on getting you into college or even a job, don’t put any personal information online. Don’t show your face, don’t share your local location, don’t share your name, nothing like that. If needed, use a VPN. This is regardless of what you could be sharing online (as long as it’s legal. I’m not advocating for any kind of criminality, just want to put that out there). But if you feel you could be targeted based off your work/school history, your religious or political views, be anonymous in a way. Everyone had the right to free speech but employers and school can denying people for any reason even if it’s not legal (they’ll just make something up to cover up the true reason if they reject you for an illegal reason).

The costs. I did an English assignment with a class. They were losing their minds over the cost. I teach in a title one district. I was like, kids, impromptu lesson ON AID. here’s state grants, and federal grants. Please stop freaking out 😭

Based off what I post which is basically just lip, sync and dances well that like make me not able to get into some colleges. Do they look at videos that you like to even if that’s like private like are they still able to see that? I think I probably be behind, but I don’t know.

I had a college admissions person at University of Delaware tell me that NHS isn’t considered since so many people can get in. They don’t even look at it. Digital footprint is so much bigger.

Honestly if you don’t want to go to a 4 year college trade schools are a good alternative or apprenticeships, and or working in trades part time/ different field while going to a community college is also a great alternative
