Rand manupilation is suppose to be the number one trending story in South Africa. Banks have been manupilating the rand for over a decade. They do this in order to benefit from their foreign investments. They invest overseas and the returns are quadrupled because South Africa's currency is very weak as compared to the countries they invested in. What does this mean for the average South African? 1. The rand is suppose to be R7 to the dollar, in other words instead of spending R20 for a loaf of bread we are suppose to spend R8 for a loaf of bread. 2. Cars in this country are imported, those made here have foreign brands, that means we spend atleast 3 times more on cars, for example if the original price is R300 000. We instead spend R900 000, this should be trending more than any story. 3. It is difficult to travel overseas, everything is more expensive. The flights, the accommodation, food, transport when we are there etc. It is world cup next year and South Africans will lose millions because of this rand manupilation. 4. Our people pay more tax especially when the president makes loans at the world bank. Mind you 80% of the countries budget benefits the white upper class. But it is the ordinary citizens who have to finance these loans by paying ridiculous amounts of tax. We are not angry enough. 5. Farmers are suffering, especially poultry farmers. Alcohol is also more expensive since we now import alcohol. We are paying 7 times more than we should be paying, we are inporting things we have here at home or that can be produced here, this is done by design so the elite can make more profits. My point is rand manupilation is a crime against humanity, it is not trending because it is done by white owned banks. None of these movements that put South Africans first will mention these facts. These banks have stolen trillions from the people of South Africa. This story should be trending more than any story. Exchange Rates are determined also by specialization of a country on a service or product in international trade, because South Africa has no specialization, becoming more dependent on the West and East means that they import more which weakens the rand
