I once asked someone, why invest back home when you're life is over there and they talked about old age. 10yrs later, they've not retired and they're still paying the loan and can't go back because life is expensive on both countries. Big homes, it's just a Society show off to me, it's literally dead assets that you still have to pay monthly directly or indirectly
