Located right in the heart of Hefangjie Street, surrounded by local attractions, shops, and food spots — super easy to get around. Cons: 1. No lift, only stairs! So if your room is on the 3rd floor and you have big luggage, be prepared — though the staff are kind enough to help carry them. 2. The hotel is tucked away in a small alley within the old town, so taxis can’t drop you directly at the entrance. You’ll need to walk about 5 minutes and pull your luggage through uneven stone paths, which can be a bit tricky if your bags are heavy. 3. Power sockets are the traditional type — not the modern universal ones you might find in larger cities like Shanghai. it’s best to bring your own adapter or extension cord. Note for my room type: Not ideal for kids or the elderly (only if you book a loft-style room, since it requires going up and down stairs inside the room.)
