People car notes are looking like mortgage payments. Of course they can’t afford those cars.

Pay hasn’t kept up with inflation for a while now, increased cost of living, OVERPRICED vehicles, high payments over longer financing periods. It’s a perfect storm.

I got into a car accident in fall 2021, I thought I could just go to Carmax and get a gently used car for under $300 a month…nope…all the cars in my budget had over 60k miles..new cars were too much so I got a lease, a decided to buy out the lease 2 years later..I’m paying the same car note, still haven’t paid for an oil change, just hit 40k miles..I’m grateful things worked out 🙏🏾

Overpriced vehicles, absurd interest rates, and asinine insurance costs. No one can afford these things anymore.

And this is why I’m about to buy a cash car. I need another car but refuse to pay a mortgage payment.

Anyone else realize by the time that this effect s them( mind it already is but I mean in the most obvious of ways) that it’ll be too late to change it back for the better??

Since 2020 they have doubled in price. Most salaries have not doubled for people. 😑

My dealership reported my account as a charge off. It’s like should I even still pay it? The balance is 8k and it was an overpriced vehicle to begin with.

It’s almost like some entity should come in and regulate the insurance price-gouging that the ins companies blame on “inflation”

No I’m not shocked. In 2020 I bought a 2019 Volkswagen, and my payments are $320 a month. I’ve been shopping for a new car recently, and I can’t find any car payment under $600… I guess I’m riding this till the wheels fall off… 🤷🏾♂
