@triplea0321: Jesus started preparing his disciples for the suffering they would go through later. Those who followed Jesus faithfully would be in danger. Rulers and authorities would try to force them to turn away from Jesus and stop serving him. Would they give up when people harmed them for preaching that Jesus is Godʼs Son? Jesus promised the disciples that God would never leave them. The Holy Spirit would always be with them.
