@iamthatenglishteacher: Do you know what the word pinnacle means? Today, my 7th grade students learned 8 new vocabulary words we’ve already seen in books, conversations, and daily life. Words carry connotation and tone, so it’s important to understand what they mean and how to use them correctly. We practiced pronunciation, context clues, part of speech, and applied each word in a sentence. This is how we build strong writers, strong thinkers, and strong communicators—one word at a time. middle school English learn new vocabulary vocab quiz learn new words word of the day I Am That English Teacher #VocabularyLesson #WordWednesday #EnglishTeacher #MiddleSchoolELA #LearnEnglish

Phonics is how I was taught in kindergarten. I credit it and my teacher for my ability to sound out words, read and spell so well. Peon is typically used as a derogatory term. Worker who is not skilled. The worker at the bottom of the totem pole, per se.
