Cheating really isn't that nuanced. Unless you're in an abusive relationship there really is no justification for cheating. Doesn't mean you are a horrible person but it is inherently an act that lacks integrity and is shameful.

I think for a lot of people being cheated on is the most emotionally traumatic thing they have ever experienced, so they viscerally react to the subject whenever it comes up.

cheating isnt inherently abuse but it is objectively wrong and i wouldnt be friends with someone who cheats or not tell my friends partner that they cheated. its not the highest crime obviously but it still shows multiple poor traits

Not everyone who cheats is a bad person, BUT, a person with integrity probably would leave their partner if they’re unhappy, before they cheat. That said, I know that can be hard.

Cheating on a non abusive partner is a form of emotional abuse and takes away something called informed consent from your significant other, it’s one of the worst things you could do to them what are yall on about trying to see it in a „nuanced” way

I feel like people forget that cheating takes away the other partner’s ability to give informed consent. The cheater puts their partner at risk for stds without letting the partner decide to take on that risk themself. This aspect of cheating makes it extremely difficult for me to see a situation in which cheating isn’t wrong.
