Sometimes it’s not about the money, but rather people taking advantage of the situation. If we all go out and agree to order around $50 I have no problem splitting. But if I spend $50 and others are ordering upwards of $100 or more on lobster, shots and whatever else, then I feel those people are taking advantage of the situation and it’s not fair.

This was never about the money. I didn’t order the bottle, I didn’t drink it, and I never agreed to split it. Being expected to pay anyway and then dismissed when I spoke up isn’t okay. That’s not paranoia or drama that’s a boundary. If that makes me the problem, then I’m fine stepping away from the bachelorette plans and enjoying my trip on my own.
