Having expectations is ok, but you still have to be reasonable. You can’t expect a 7yo to get up, eat and get themselves to school! If he had made it to school and was hungry. That would’ve lead to more behavioral issues at school.

Comments saying it’s not possible I was definitely 6-7 yrs old waking up by myself getting ready for school, not ever forgetting to moisturize before I left out, & I’d walk to the bus stop on my own 😭😭😭 OPTIONALLY. My parents were never strict either but they trusted me 🤷🏽♀
