As a revert, Arabic is an unknown language to me. I memorized the Arabic words but it was just sounds to me. I felt I was disrespecting Allah. I have learned th English translation of most of the prayers. As I say the Arabic words I instantaneously translate to English in my mind. The parts that I haven't translated yet are the times my mind wanders. It is my prayer that Allah makes my mind capable to memorize the complete prayer. I am 78 and my mind is not as sharp as it was in my youth so I need this gift from Allah, to get a translation for Taslim and Tashahhud to complete my prayers. Insha'Allah ❤

When I focus on the recitation and transalating it in my head in my language then I don't get distracted..But if I recite fast without translation is when I get distracted

Asalamu alaykum, you probably won't see this but I'll need to get it off my chest. I understand that you're busy but subhanallah the impact your videos had on me is unreal. I barely know what the words mean because I don’t understand Arabic. So that’s really hard for me to do. I understand general meaning of the whole thing because I read it at the beginning. I don’t remember what each sentence means.
