@humphreytalks: The Federal Reserve cut rates for the second time this year, and they hinted that there will not be a third rate cut in December. With that being said, what should you do with your money? Here are three things that I think you should be doing immediately: #1 lock in a CD rate that is higher than your high-yield savings, if you know that you are not going to touch that money for a period of 3, 6, or 12 months. #2 Invest your money, especially if you’re saving and investing for the long term. Usually when rates come down, a lower interest rate environment means that stocks tend to go up. Is this always the case? No. But in general, that's the bias. Regardless, though the stock market tends to appreciate about 8% per year if you're invested in the S&P 500. #3 Check out your loan rates. Credit card APRs aren't going to change too much. The interest that you pay on credit card debt will not all of a sudden go down by a lot, however it is still a welcome change. If you have a mortgage or auto loan rate from, say, a few years ago, when the rates were a little bit higher, this could be an opportunity to refinance if it makes sense for you. Let me know any questions you have!

I never understood the value in CD’s. The term is several years and lots can happen with rates in that timeframe so doesn’t seem like a good ROI to mr
