@1010wins923: 🚔 The two young sons of fallen NYPD Det. Didarul Islam were gifted a full ride to college on Tuesday, with the NFL commissioner visiting the Bronx NYPD precinct where Islam worked. Islam was killed July 28 when a shooter who was reportedly targeting the NFL over football-related injuries opened fire at 345 Park Ave. in Midtown, killing four people before taking his own life. “Det. Islam was a hero to us. He was at 345 Park every day. He was somebody that we all knew,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. He said the college scholarships—provided by the NFL and the nonprofit Folds of Honor—will “make sure that their children are taken care of and that they get to realize their dreams.” Islam’s brother-in-law, Kamrul Hasan, who is also a police officer, said the scholarship was the ultimate gift. “After Islam was gone, we thought it was over.
