@thegirderclub: The King of Sprinters - a Douglas SW5 at the Kop Hill Climb. This is a well-known machine and is owned and sprinted by Terry Wilson. These bikes were the weapons of Speedway in the 1920s and were fiercely quick bikes. The motor was developed by Freddie Dixon while employed by Douglas; in fact, Dixon set the record for the hill in 1925 on his 736cc Douglas at an average speed of over 81mph... and this was at a time when the climb was quite simply a dust-cart track!
