TopeTuyi :
True sir. The earlier a believer realizes that life is a warfare and not a funfair, the better for him.
Ephesians 6:12 says, "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places." Nobody wrestles in a no-fight situation.
Both in the kingdom and the outside world, the law of covenant demands forbids that you get something for nothing. There is no star without a scar.
When, as a senior officer in the army, I refused to mellow down in my resolve to propagate the Gospel of Jesus while in uniform, my department was starved of funds. My monthly allowance as an Officer Commanding was stopped. I was relieved of my appointment as the Chairman of an important Scheme, and lies were trumped up against me and I was dragged to a court-martial.
God told me that throughout my court appearances, I should not pray, but just give Him quality praise and worship every morning before going to court.
Long story short, I was discharged and acquitted because of Psalms 34:19, which says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivered him out of them all."
To cap it, my Commander who led the battle against me passed on three days to when he was to be promoted to the rank of a General. But I'm still here today, sharing the same good news of Jesus. Hallelujah.
