The cities are insane. I was appalled. Little middle-of-nowhere charity shops are where you find treasures. I found a 100% silk Ralph Lauren dress yesterday for $10. Perfect condition, except needing a cleaning.

They’re not all bad. The small ones are better the ones that are sole prop owned they’re less pricier and less pretentious do not go to the chains like buffalo cross roads beacons OPC they’re multi store chains and even the good will makes me sick now too! But there are some gems if you look on vintage maps you’ll see of them listed across nyc

I had my first experience in a consignment shop. I think there’s different from thrifting? I have no idea. All I know is everything was sooo expensive. I think I was under the impression it was supposed to be cheaper. I wonder what happens to the clothes we donate in those bins too

When I moved there in 95 they were good. But they weren’t that good. I would come back to California to visit and I would buy stuff here because everything is so overpriced and curated.
