you can only get so much heat out of a one ten outlet. so much more potential from a fireplace. you can get your fireplace inspected and repaired if needed. again it may be pretty but you need to lubricate your electric meter so IT doesn't catch fire.

This is the best thing I have ever bought. Looks amazing and heats my entire house. I am in Texas so rarely need it. But I can turn it on without heat for the ambiance. And it looks great with the logs year round.
