I really like this optimistic take on the book. I’m very far the other way and view the narrator as a pathetic man (imo deliberate by Dostoevsky) who internally manufactured the whole relationship with nastenka while she didn’t actually view him that way. But the exploration of love (or false love imo) in this book was incredible especially for such a short book. Def the best intro book to Dostoevsky
