Single moms, single dads, families that are the working poor are who the program was designed to help. Short term and long enough to help in a time of crisis. 🫜I was one of those moms. And 56.00 more in Food Stamps was much needed and appreciated. 🥙 one of the best days of my life was when I drove down to the food stamp office and told them to take me off of all benefits. I had graduated Nurse Practitioner school and had a job. It was humiliating, it was humbling, and it was life-saving for me and my kids during those years. 🇺🇸 we are Americans reach out to your friends and neighbors and people you don’t know during this time who may need help. Buy a gift card to Walmart, drop off some groceries. someone would randomly give me a gift card during those years.
