So he agrees to print when purchased this is all on him, leave earlier and print the ticket. That would be common sense, it’s the terms of purchase so many self entitled ppl, he could of averted this really print the ticket, said he is aware at only this station it’s like this 👍🏻

So needing to print the ticket is the Rail companies policy…. Not the law? So all that needed to be done here was refusal to let him board the train until ticket is printed…. Did not need to get police involved!!!

Just walk with him to the machine, let him print his ticket that he’s already paid for & let him on his way. He knows now to print it before using the Liverpool station. Making a mountain out of a mole hill & wasting everyone’s time here.

I don't have a printer to print mine. Crazy have to have 1, I've used rail travel for years and usually just show online ticket and so many companies promote this rather than wasting paper

Ok but all had to do is print the ticket from the machine near him. He only said that once quickly. He should have been clear about that

Section 5 Regulation Of The Railway Act 1889 - makes it a summary criminal offence not to produce your train ticket on the request of railway staff. You can be lawfully detained by rail staff for this offence. The police can arrest you for this offence.
