Stress killed my friend. I see him in you. Prioritize health all the way. He was able to pay off his debt, & saved SO much money to “go have fun one day”, “but I’m young now & I have so much time & life inside of me” he had a heart attack at 29.

Everyone has different financial priorities and will have their own opinion but I see nothing wrong with wanting to pay off debt and prioritize your future! Some people are fine with debt, I’ve never been one of them and always feel suffocated by any sort of negative hanging over my head. I think you’re smart for sacrificing now for future freedom!

The only one I disagree with is not getting gifts for your friends and family. I think you gotta be a member of the village to get a village so I do think investing in your relationships will pay off more in the long run than contributing that ~$500 a year? to student loans

this should not be what anyone has to do for their education. it’s an abject failure of our society. you could be hit by a bus tomorrow - you should get to enjoy your life even while you work towards financial goals. this is not a criticism of you, but of our system.

Hey! I am 72k in student loan debt and I just want to remind you that we are not promised another day. I’m 24 and I was able to buy myself a home at 22 even with all my student loan debt. I used to work myself to death and it’s just not worth it, you deserve fun treats & rest <3

this comment section is insane. i worked 60-80 hours a week for 3 years to pay off my debt. it’s worth it girlie keep pushin. plus the habits you build at this time will get you further when you’re debt free too
