@dw_the77percent: A Ghanaian student visibly upset had to cut her hair before enrolling in school. A rule meant to enforce discipline by some, reveals deeper colonial roots. Traces of colonial-era education still shape African classrooms today. So when a girl’s natural hair is deemed ‘unacceptable,’ what does it say about education and conformity? #ghana #ghanaschool #ghanatiktok🇬🇭 #ghanatiktok #boardingschool
in Ghana the best senior high schools are public high schools, so even the rich has their wards in the public schools

In Ghana all secondary schools have their laws.In Ghana Churches owns more schools than Government and they try to keep the old law so that all students will be equal to each other except teachers.if you don't like it the child should go to private schools

Critical thinking. :
The funny thing is, the compulsory haircut is less than 50 years old. In the past, students were allowed to keep their natural hair. You either keep it as Afro or You braid. Now people are arguing as if keeping your natural hair will create problems in the schools. I mean how? Some are even comparing natural hair to artificial objects like shoes, bags and uniforms. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂
