I got a lot of anker stuff from that market in shenzen, it’s all official and works on their office barcode scanner and it cost me like 30% of what I would normally pay. A lot of the portable chargers are higher quality in China as they have an extra 3C standard that we don’t have in the west.

It seems so much cheaper because these products are locally made and sold direct to consumers with a small margin cause their overhead is low. Apple's MSRP for example, mfg is one part. The price also covers the cost to bring to market: Design, engineering, development, patents, testing, certifications, legal, marketing, logistics, inventory, service, warranty, retail fleet (new build reno lease repair maintenance), operations, marketing, branding, all the white and blue collar jobs it takes to run a multinational corporation, after all that, THEN profit.
