They have exclusive short stories in the print version and the one for this book was from the perspective of one of the hamsters. When the AI ended the attack all the hamsters got a message that just said “you can stop now. We made up.”

I'm surprised the AI is so chill about (insert spoiler for the end of The Inevitable Ruin here) but I'm sure we'll get an answer for why in the next book.

The fact that no one takes it seriously too is so uncomfortable but well written because it's realistic. Dude is literally getting harassed by a sentient computer and people think it's funny.
