Lord Squat :
Fiji is actually mostly “dark skinned” people. It’s part of Melanesia, they have Melanin and many have the same hair textures as Black people. (I’m not getting into any arguments about racial identity or the term “Black”, so don’t bother).

We dont mind being called black but since the word is associated with African Ancestry (which we dont have) we prefer "Melanesian" to distinguish.

Stop telling people they’re “black”. All indigenous people’s around the world look like us in origin. “Race” is not real. That’s why he said his “race” was Fijian, not “black”

Genetically we're black but have zero African DNA. Our black DNA is Papuan and South East Asia.

Ive been to Fiji and Austrailia. There are an abundance of people in Fiji that look like us. They are so kind and hospitable. When they walked past me on several occasions, they were so happy to see Black Americans. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see any indigenous Australians. However, I did meet some beautiful African women at the Westfield Mall in Sydney.
