What is the reasoning behind them trying to talk them out of speaking to police? Even just to see them tell the officer to their face they don’t want to speak to them?

If that interaction was that traumatic to that nurse, she has absolutely zero business working in the field she has chosen. I one million percent stand by that. The festival being set up like FEMA with their own emergency management services is great - but in situations like this - they should absolutely refer to the law enforcement that has jurisdiction in that area. This whole thing seems very sketchy. You have people potentially taking mind altering drugs, possibly being assaulted then having to talk to allll these people and that scares me. Couple that with the whole “do you want this to ruin you burn” mentality possibly being force fed to them while they are distraught is a complete mindfuck. These ‘survivors’ are sitting there wondering how they are going to ruin their trip or potentially ruin their friends trip. That is AWFUL and whoever came up with alll of these people managing the “survivors” like this is crazy. This Zendo organization also sounds wild to me - but I’m not someone who uses mind altering drugs and has a need for ‘counseling’ like that. Common sense tells me that the legal authority should be the only ones handling these situations. What a joke…. If that nurse gets a penny from this lawsuit I feel sorry for the citizens of that county and their wasted taxpayer dollars. Fuck that festival…

The police were there to help and the way people reacted to them was outrageous and ridiculous. They need to grow up.

I hate the idea that the people who run the camps aren’t letting the officers do their jobs like they’re there to help and make sure everything is ok and you’re going “no that’s not ok”. Weird.
