No. Absolutely not. Placing The Wretched of the Earth beside Sapiens betrays a profound lack of discernment. Fanon wrote a revolutionary manifesto against colonial domination; Harari is colonialism’s polished heir, repackaging Eurocentric determinism as “global history.” Fanon reclaims humanity from the colonialists, while Harari universalizes colonialism and the Western experience. This shows you understand neither. To equate them collapses resistance into consumption, turning the real fight for education and liberation into a footnote in the leisure of the privileged.

I’m hesitant to write this, but I need to say that as a PhD anthropologist, HARARI’s book is not serious anthropology/philosophy. I’m not really sure what it is, but it’s not empirically accurate but the others on the list are exquisite. 💙

Last book undoes the credibility of your entire list that not even Franz Fanon could save it

The world is becoming full of readers and watchers instead of doers. Actually, doing is the key to your life's education as you will then know. Failure is also part of knowing ✨️✌

The Autobiography of Malcolm X changed my life forever! Opened my eyes & has helped in guiding me through this life! I am so grateful I read it when I was young. I followed it with The Assassination of Malcom X and wish that kids today were being taught his teachings ❤🙏🏾

lol i dont think Marcus Aurelius ever really "whined" about anything . dude literally went out of his way to make his daily life uncomfortable in order to have a stronger character .

Have to go into these book with a certain caution. And by caution I mean a certain level of critic. Not cynicism but intellectual criticism. They’re a good bunch but at the end of the day it’s wisdom from flesh.. so bound to be biased. Good reads though.
