@theaccidentalarchivist: Scanning a 100-Year-Old Forgotten Negative from the 1920s I found over 20,000 family negatives in my parents’ attic, a century of memories on film. In this episode, I’m scanning two 100-year-old negatives, captured on 120 film from the late 1920s, images that haven’t been seen in almost a century. There are no markings or brand names on the film, which wasn’t unusual at the time, so we can only guess who made it. I’m using the @epson @Epson Europe V850 film scanner, together with SilverFast software to bring these forgotten frames back to life. These photos capture a hike my grandmother wrote about in her memoirs, a moment frozen in time nearly a hundred years ago. 🎞️ Like & subscribe to follow the journey as I uncover more mystery rolls, scan century-old negatives, and explore the cameras that captured them. 📸 New episodes every week! #120film #filmisnotdead #filmphotography #naturephotography #photography @Kodak Europe @Kodak Plus

My dad developed his photos at home from the late 1940s, if he was around there was a camera and a click, another photo 🤣

How could I’ve been so blind?! I need to ask my parents and grandparents if they still have their negatives laying around! I just love analog photography and if they have some it will be a great way practising my scanning!

Was that a special machine or a film adapter for a regular scanner?

I got all of my grandmas 8mm home videos, took me almost a year to record them and put them on USB for the family. Was wild to see my dad as a kid and grandma with grandpa, he passed before I was born

Oh man I’d love a find like this! My grandfather used as a photographer too! I bought a really old camera off eBay and found a roll in it and had it developed. It’s on my page. Super cool!
