Started as a ground worker ganger 20 years ago after coming out the forces did my cscs worked my way thru dumper roller moxi 10 above below street works slinger signeler first aid sssts do deep drains kerb tar steel concrete going for my smsts there is serious money to be made if you can handle weather and work hard that's my verdict but can be trying get on big jobs seem to be the best sites

I got absolutely turned over proper I let my CSCS run out. Didn’t need it for about two or three years when I went to renew it. My city and guilds was no longer valid. They changed my number cost me 440 quid to get a green card when I’ve always had a blue card or a black cardabsolutely shafted

Pros and cons to it same as any other job. We subcontract of a really good firm and have really good managers and most site agents I work with I get along with really well. Some days are long and yes the weather is shocking But we also have many pros to it.

my son is doing a 3 days cscs card. is it the same card and test when you do the 4 week one???????????? q2 is cscs card renew every 2 years? no test wen you renue

Been a carpenter for almost 50 years run jobs as a manager for over 20 years then I was told to keep my cards I had to do nvqs total insult when you see how many clamp bashers and idiots calling themselves tradesmen and manager that's why the industry is going down the pan
