Oh great idea, that makes so much sense. I truly don’t have a lot of money to buy food for local food banks, but I could send money to my local food banks. It makes me feel better that my $20 would go $120 in their hands

yes to all this and also processing food donations takes far more labor than procuring through other means

I would say this is true for large food banks but small, local, or rural food banks often do not have this ability. if you're unsure please contact the food bank and ask what they prefer!
