@bellalexandria_: Lola is 7 months old and I’m definitely new to having a bunny. I spend so much time with her that when I woke up in the morning I IMMEDIATELY knew something was wrong. She was hiding, showing signs of being uncomfortable and in pain, she didn’t touch her hay or water overnight, she wouldn’t come out to eat her breakfast. I wanted to film her so I could show her vet. This was my first time seeing this or experiencing this so I wanted all evidence. Luckily her vet was able to see her within the first hour of calling and they gave her fluids and meds. Lola was literally back to her normal self and eating by the evening. This was so sad and disheartening to see her like this. #hollandlop #bunny #rabbitsoftiktok #rabbit #rabbits
As awful as it is this is an excellent educational video on the behavior a rabbit displays when they are uncomfortable and going through gi stasis, its the relentless positions in a short amount of time and the pressing of the abdomen on the floor

She’s uncomfortable bc she’s in pain people, not because of the enclosure. Her movements legit show she has some sort of stomach pain

I noticed my fur bun doing this as well and he passed 2 days later after, I tried getting him to a vet but no one was accepting me at all & I had to feed him by the syringe with food and it was so bad I felt helpless.

this is early stasis, and a great stage to catch it at for intervention. I know for folks watching it can be confusing because bun is flopping and splooting, but she's constantly moving because she can't get comfy. Later stages is when they hide, go lethargic etc.

Flopping isn’t a sign of stasis

Baby colic drops work great if you catch it early. Also put your hand under bunnies belly and lift so the back legs are in the air and wiggle and rotate gently

If I ever suspect or see signs I give my buns stomach massages. You can watch videos on YouTube on how to relieve any trapped gas. Glad your bun is all good 🐰🫶 x

We lost a bunny to GI stasis and seeing that little arch pressing her stomach in the ground is so heartbreaking 😭 I watch our other three bunnies like a psychopath so we don’t ever have to go through that again! I’m glad she’s okay!🥹💕

Free-roam, no salt licks, research what veggies rabbits can eat because they cannot eat cauliflower or broccoli because it will cause stomach ache and GI stasis. Water in a bowl, and finally, that surface is too slippy for them and uncomfortable. Take them out of the cage.

Should always keep “critical care” on hand for bunnies. I’ve heard it has saved alot of bunnies. They do sell it at pets mart and I’ve seen it on Amazon But I trust petsmart better. I’ve never had to use it on my bunny but I won’t be without it.

I'm so sorry this happened but i'm glad she's feeling better. I appreciate this video bc my friend is watching my buns for the first time and I have tried to explain what it looks like but was able to show them this so they know if something is wrong.
